An Experimental Study on the Effect of Radix Morindae

Abstract
|

|
These studies were carried out to investigate the effect of Radix Morindae water extract on the inhibitory contractile action of histamine in guinea pig.
The results of these studies were as follows;
1. Contractile force of histamine from trachea smooth muscle in guinea pig was inhibited by Radix Morindae.
2. Radix Morindae did not changed the contractile force of histamine pretreated propranolol, indomethacin, and methylene blue.
3. Contractile force of uterus in rat was inhibited by Radix Morindae.
4. Contractile frequence of uterus in rat was inhibited by Radix Morindae.
